TripBuddy helps users plan trips, save itineraries and use an AI travel guide. This policy explains what data the app may process and why.

Data We Use

  • Account data, such as email address and authentication identifiers.
  • Trip planning data, such as travel dates, start address, interests, transport mode, selected stops, saved trips and break preferences.
  • Photos submitted by the user in guide mode.
  • Purchase and subscription status from Google Play Billing.
  • Technical logs needed to keep the app secure and reliable.

Why We Use Data

  • Create and save trip plans.
  • Search places and generate itineraries.
  • Provide guide explanations for submitted photos.
  • Verify purchases and premium access.
  • Send optional trip reminder notifications.
  • Protect the service, debug issues and prevent misuse.

Camera, Photos and Notifications

TripBuddy only uses the camera when the user opens guide mode and chooses to take or submit a photo. Submitted photos may be sent to backend services to generate a short travel explanation. TripBuddy may ask for notification permission to send optional trip reminders. Users can disable notifications in their device settings.

Sharing

TripBuddy does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by service providers needed for app functionality, such as Firebase, Google Maps and Places, Google Play Billing and AI guide services.
